Kia Motors Serves Up a Win at the Australian Open after Receiving Over $7 Million in Media Value
The Australian Open which took place January 31st, proved to have plenty of great match ups, but the biggest competitor in this year’s event was Kia Motors.According to industry leader in media evaluation Front Row Analytics during the finale on January 31st between Roger Federer and Andy Murray, Kia received $7,105,000 in media value by 486 total sequences. Front Row Marketing Services (frontrow-marketing.com) is a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.
“An internationally broadcasted event like the Australian Open brings with it a lot of valuable exposure for a sponsor. Also gaining valuable brand exposure from Melbourne Park, home of The Australian Open was Franklin Templeton Investments, ANZ, Jacobs Creek and Rolex. All of which were shown through various media outlets including signage, verbal mentions, and 30 second commercial spots.
Federer was able to take home the trophy but Kia was able to walk off the court with a win at this year’s Australian Open bringing the company great brand exposure, and valuable media coverage serving up for the continued success of Kia Motors for many match ups to come.
